MY FAVORITE THINGS - MAY 2018
I feel like I say this every month, but it has been a crazy month! Hubby and I have been getting our travel trailer ready to take up north and park it in a seasonal campground. If you don’t follow me on Instagram, my husband and I LOVE camping and being outdoors. It’s so relaxing and we love having a getaway that is less than an hour away. This season, we’ve decided to not do the traveling thing and keep it stationary at a seasonal spot. One thing we didn’t account for when making this decision, is that leaving it somewhere is pretty much like having a second home. So that means, having all the furnishings and items needed to use while we are there; we pretty much had to duplicate everything that we have at home! Technically, we could always pack what we needed when ever we go to the trailer, but often we go spur of the moment, and it’s just more convenient to have what we need already there instead of packing it up and bringing it with us.
Anyways! Back to why you’re here. Even though a lot of my time went to getting the trailer ready for the season, there were a couple things this month that I enjoyed
May Favorites:
1. Let’s start with our home away from home, this campground where we are keeping the trailer!
2. This hammock has taken over my life while at the trailer. We are located in the woods, and it’s perfect to sip my tea in the morning and listen to the birds chirp! #SoRelaxing
3. Last camping related item, I promise! Bought this kayak to use on the lake while we are camping. Perfect for sitting on the water or even fishing! – Caught my first fish with this guy!
4. Custard has changed the ice cream game for me. Not sure why, but it doesn’t bother my digestion as much as ice cream does.
5. These essential oils have really been great for stress relief.
6. Tried cherries for the FIRST time this month, and I’m OBSESSED. Michigan Cherries are where it’s at!
7. Visited this greenhouse often to prepare our yard for summer florals; my thriving rose bushes are from here.
8. This podcast because I enjoy the real life banter :D
9.Made this banana peanut butter “mush” bowl pretty much every day
10. Amanda did a great job on my blog photos! Definitely check her out; she’s starting to build her portfolio and was a blast to work with!
11. This local winery that we go to pretty much every weekend.
